We’re back in Mevarano. A year ago, the population of this charming village had welcomed us and accommodated us for the night.
We did not come back empty-handed. Since last year, many things have changed: Madagascoeur was born, and with it, its projects. Today, it is the first realization of our project “Save the forest”.
In collaboration with ADES, we have distributed about 50 ovens with reliable wood consumption, as well as a solar parabola. ADES visited the site a few weeks ago to find out which section of the population has the greatest need for these ovens. A training course is also being organized for the school’s pupils to explain the problems linked to deforestation on their island.
It was a beautiful day that we spent once again with the inhabitants of Mevarano, who were so kind to us. It’s also a realisation: our first project is underway!
