VÉRÈNE DÉCAILLET
Founder, President
Vérène was born and raised in Martigny, Switzerland. 30 years ago, her work led her to Lausanne. It is still where she lives today, with her daughter Océane and with Thierry. Vérène has always loved to discover the world by travelling. Madagascar: she fell in love with it as soon as she first set foot there in 2016. Authenticity and joie de vivre are qualities she particularly appreciates among Malagasy people.

THIERRY FLÜCKIGER
Founder, Treasurer
Thierry comes from Biel, Switzerland. In 2009, he met Vérène and moved with her to Romanel-sur-Lausanne. During the first trip to Madagascar, he was struck by poverty, despite the fact that he had lived for 6 years in Egypt where precariousness also affects a majority of the population. The kindness of the Malagasy people and the beauty of the landscapes on the Red Island are what he particularly appreciates in Madagascar. Thierry accompanies and supports Vérène 100% in the association project.

PEGGY BALLOT
Founder, Secretary
Peggy is Vérène’s younger sister. After spending 30 years in her hometown of Martigny, she moved to Préverenges in the canton of Vaud where she founded her family. She is the mother of two boys. When Vérène told her about the association in 2016, it was without hesitation that she agreed to support it in this magnificent adventure, touched by Vérène’s stories on Facebook and Thierry’s images. She gradually found her place on the committee, but it was not until April 2019 that her commitment became a reality during her first trip to the red earth to meet this incredible Malagasy people. She immediately fell in love with it, could finally put a whole meaning to the actions undertaken and, has at heart to carry out the future projects of the association…
